Praying For Your Spouse ~ Pastor Faith Oyedepo

“Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of
Christ, saluteth you, always labouring
fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand
perfect and complete in all the will of God.” –
Colossians 4:12-

Before I got married, I learnt to pray for my
husband. I prayed for the works of his hand,
ministry, spiritual life, emotions and virtually
any/everything I could think of. I did this
because I had the understanding that prayer
is the master key to opening every door;
changing situations and even people. After
we got married, my prayers for him didn’t
reduce; rather, they intensified.

Contrary to what people may think, you
should be stronger on the prayer altar when
you are married. This is because you have
more responsibilities and battles to fight.
However, you are not alone in it; you have a
partner with you. If that partner is strong,
then your team is stronger, but if your partner
is weak, you will be confronted with more
challenges. The challenge of fortifying your
partner so the enemy does not attack through
that means, and also keeping the main
battlefield safe.

To avoid being burdened, you must keep your
spouse energised on the prayer altar. Pray for
every area of need that pertains to them,
because what affects them naturally affects
you. To see a more organised, spiritual, loving
and peaceful spouse, starts on your knees.
You must not rely on collective prayers alone,
but personally, you should be a warrior
upholding the hands of your spouse.

Rather than complaining and being carried
away by what they should or should not be,
pray into existence what you want them to
be. Decree daily into their lives, ministry,
career, business, health and finance. Control
their actions on the prayer altar, so you can
experience the best of them at all times and
levels. The success of your marriage and
spouse is in your hand. Use the weapon you
have, to command the victory you desire.
Remain Blessed!
